     The International Organization for Migration is seeking qualified Nepali Nationals for the following post :

    Position Title                   : Radiographer - 1 Nos
    Classification                  :  Grade 5
    Type of Appointment      :  1 Yr Fixed -Term , with possibility of extension


     General Functions :
               Under the direct supervision of the IOM Radiologist and Chief Migration Health Nurse (CMHN) , with the guidance from the Chief Migration Health Physician (CMHP) for technical matters and the Chief of Mission, Nepal, for administrative matters, the successful candidate will be responsible for the technical part of X-Ray  screening of the refugees in the Health Assessment Programmes.


     Major Duties &  Responsibilites :

•    Ensure consistently high quality CXRs through:

•  Carry out X-Ray imaging of migrants in accordance with IOM and international standards
•  Optimize the workflow in the radiology unit in order to ensure quick and smooth processing and timely delivery of radiographs and reports.
•  Liaise with the technical service providers inside and outside of IOM regarding maintenance and repair of the euipment.
•  Make a schedule and initiate regular and timely quality assurance of the X-Ray  machines , and the checking of the personal radiation monitoring badge. Liaise with the respective radiation authorities.
•  Implement safety procedures in the radiology unit in accordance with the radiation rules and regulations. Implement infection control measures.
• Suggest additional measures to improve the quality , speed or safety of the radiological procedures.
• Perform regular quality control of identification procedures and correctness of data entry
• Prepare statistical reports and analysis of operational actibites
• If needed, fulfill clerk's duties , such as preparation of working lists , forms, barcodes, checking refugees' identity , record keeping.

•    B.SC in Radiographuy
•   At least 2 yrs of working experience in radiography , especially CXR.
•   Good computer skill is essential ,especially in Microsoft Excel.
•   Highly Developed sense of responsibility , ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
•   Highly Developed sense of team work. Ability to communicate effectively and work harmoniously with internal and external colleagues.
•   Attention to detail, persistence and ability to organize
•   Good in spoken and written English.
