1 killed in lightning strike in Gorkha
GORKHA: A person died after being struck by lightning at Manbu VDC of the district on Monday night.
Laxmi Pariyar, who was seriously injured following the incident, died on the way to the hospital, a local Jit Bahadur Gurung said.
Meanwhile, heavy winds last night blew away the roof of two buildings of the Shree Himalaya Higher Secondary School in Saurpani VDC of the district, the school teacher Achyut Khatri said.
Likewise, the roof of the Olangjung Primary School in Swanra VDC was also blown away, according to VDC Secretary Govinda Raj Shrestha.
